The essence of my memoir in poetry.
Mother of All Bombs
Last night’s
nightmare
ripped my
family apart
flesh from bone
forcing me
to choose
my life or theirs.
Waking up
to a family intact
I couldn’t
shake the feeling
that in an
instant
it could all
implode.
